day 28 - marsmatic 700

TINY NIB WTF
So I'm supposed to be doing Extension 2 at the moment, but I totally got distracted by this box sitting next to me housing a set of Staedtler Marsmatics, which, after doing running a from searches on the World Wide Web, I learnt were/are megamad tech-drawing pens. Opening the box, and discovered three pens: 0.5mm, 0.35mm, and 0.25mm but I looked closer at the 0.25 and found that it was in fact a holy jesus what 0.18mm. I read on one of the various mad Australian artist blawgs that they were using an 0.15mm, which is apparently like drawing with one pixel, so holy jeezus.
Unfortunately, since they used to belong to my dad and he hasn't touched them for years upon years, the inks run out, and a quick check of the ink container that came with it revealed that the ink had gone all gross and expired (?) and turned pus yellow. Bummer.

death? what y'all know about death.

This was originally me trying to write 'Happy Smegdog' in exciting new letters, as well as drawing some generic shapes (pyramid), but they both turned out kinda crap, so instead I drew this gay fire-breathing shark shooting lightning bolts from its shark blowhole with a gay carrot surfing the flames.

when times get tough, I know it's not the end

Spontaneous decision today to head out to Harvey Norman. Hurray!
Half of the photos I ended up printing were a combination of Katie's photos and Quoc's stuff, as well as a bunch of stuff off my SLR. I also printed a slightly different version of the current header up there ^^^^, and a bunch of other random stuff like warm analogs from Joel Birch, and all the other stuff I always print. Ta-da!

day 27 - you can't pay for dinner with napkins

This is how mum trims Soozy's fur when it gets too fluffy to handle - on top of a bin.
NAW LOOK AT YOUR SMILING FACE SOOZY.
Trying to use manual makes me a legitimate photographer

10c!

Giovanni and his fucking kickass crew.

Harvey Norman 10c prints again. Time to ACTUALLY get mine sorted out.
In other news, Country Fair + Garnerstock are coming up. I was meant to type more in this post about how I hate when really big shit comes up (eg. camp, birthdays, Country Fair, etc), but I can't really be bothered finishing it at the moment.

Some of the things we do are obvious. Some of the signs we let on are obvious.
Some of them are not? Some of them are so?

sometimes we like to think we're in the right, and to best keep with our instinct or feeling, sometimes it is with negligence we stick by it.
Silly problems with life that we must deal with.
As usual I ask for a more level headed approach and be not so quick to breathe fire. However,
it is near impossible to begin to question your thoughts, feelings, instincts living within such proximity of those who may not share them.
Ahh. and yet I hide behind this silly jumble of language,
this immature play of perception, yet that is the beauty of it.

day 26 - how much do you like it

Playing catchup. This is what I snack on, coupled with a soul-warming mug of Lipton decaf with milk.
OH, AND FOR ANYONE WONDERING - YES, I CAN CUT ONIONS NOW!
FUCK
YEAR

the FUCK

No really, why the fuck?
I turned on my computer today and tried to open iTunes a few times, and nothing happened. I thought I'd restart, but before I could, I noticed that a little iTunes setup wizard had opened because apparently I'd not installed it. OF COURSE I'VE FUCKING INSTALLED IT, I'VE BEEN USING IT FOR TWO FUCKING YEARS. I clicked Cancel, and then iTunes just immediately popped up, except LOOKING LIKE THIS:

WHY THE FUCK IS MY ARTIST COLUMN SO SMALL
and no, I can't just drag it wider, because nothing happens.

Was this worth making a post about? No.

ms cunliffe

is actually legitimately one of the greatest human beings ever to walk the earth - I sent an email to her last night with about a trillion questions on Module A, and I come home this afternoon to find two emails waiting for me, because she had typed up a response answering every single one of my questions, in great detail, at eight this morning, as well as telling me what time she'd be at home tonight + her home number in case I needed any more help, and the second email was some example essay stuff for Ext 1.
I didn't really know what to say in Ext 2 the other day when Ms Young said "Oh boy, if Genvin comes first again, I'll be able to say that I'm teaching alright," because quite literally all my English learning comes from a combination of Thursday afternoons and the various emails I send Ms Cunliffe before assessments roll around.
If you ever get the opportunity to get tutored by her - DO IT.

INACCURATE, I'M PRETTY SURE THAT SHOULD BE A 5, NOT A 4.6

!!! 1000 !!!

!!! 1000 !!!

!!! 1000 !!!

!!! 1000 !!!

It was flowing, although, sometimes I think you may have, too many, pauses. Which, when I read aloud, did disrupt ones line of thought.

I think you skilfully demonstrated the links between context and text, and how context shapes the meaning behind the text.
However, there is the slight feeling that you have alot of context embedded. I'm unsure how much is necessary.

You talk about explicitly conveying ideas, maybe it would be good to present an implicitly implied idea. It may show greater understanding and clarity between distinctions of the two.

Third paragraph ( regardless of ....) , in my opinion does not have substantial textual references.

You were also asked to talk about the play as a whole, not just the extract, and I didn't get any of that throughout the essay. Maybe a sentence or two here or there talking about the point of the play, what the ending means, does vivian find god? etc may also boost your demonstration to the inconsistent teachers your understanding between texts.

I have no standard to which I was comparing it to.. so I actually have no idea how well you would fare
