I am amused by your musings so I check it out now and then =] I don't know what things are called either, I just mime them to bike store people until they find me what I want. It's an excellent system but it's your head stem that came off. Crappy ones have tendencies to snap so watch out for that not that I'm calling it crap but you know
what happened to the bikes? I don't like sad bikes
